THURSDAY LEAGUE 3-9-2023 CANCELED DUE TO STORM!

Thursday League today 3-9-2023 is officially cancelled.

Friday League looks to be on tomorrow, but wet, with showers at times. I will have my tents up and we may use the blacktop if fields are too muddy.

Saturday looks pretty rainy, so I don’t know for sure yet if the Zephandria league for 12 and up players is on.

Sunday, for all skill levels,  looks promising, and should be dry during LARP hours, so at this point, it is a go.

Hello Thursday League Parents and Players,

Another massive storm is coming through tomorrow, except this one is a warm tropical system with a lot or rainfall.  The temperature spike along with all the rain is forecast to melt all the snow in the foothills and cause some pretty spectacular flooding.  The timing of the storm is the main issue for us with LARP tomorrow.  The last time a storm was coming in two weeks ago, it shifted in timing and didn’t arrive until the evening, and we would have had plenty of time to LARP.  This may happen again tomorrow, but I won’t know until the morning, so I have to assume we are canceling LARP tomorrow and then if miraculously the weather prediction shifts first thing in the morning, I will send out a notice and we will head to the park.  If this does happen, we will just LARP for as long as we can, and then when the rain hits, call it a day.  

For the Friday League Players, the timing looks pretty good for us.  The rain is forecast to end by noon or one on Friday, so plan for Friday to be on at this point and I will make a final decision tomorrow night.

For the weekend, it will be wet as well, but the forecast models disagree about the exact timing of the rain.  We may be fine to have LARP on the weekend, or if the storm intensifies, the who weekend could be lost.  I will let you know the weekend plan Friday night.
