Club League Campout – Memorial Park!

Club LARP Family Camp

August 7 – August 10

Check in Sunday after 1:00 (games start at 3)  to Wednesday 6:00 pm

 

Please read entire message.  We have both of the Wurr Group campsites at Memorial Park. Lots of shade. Lots of tables and benches. Lots of food including snacks. Kids will be busy with Chris from wake to bed — they’ll  need no other entertainment — but lots of time for adults to chat, read, sleep, hang out at camp fire, do crafty things, play instruments if inclined. Adults do the food prep, cooking, and washing up — there’ll be signups. Kids clear tables. Plan on 3 hours/day active helping out.

LARP Games: Cash/Check to “Christopher Melville”

• $200 / player if do all sessions ($20/session if fewer). Players may not play as monsters for free at campout.

Campout and Food: Cash/Check: to “Scott Shafer.” (I’m training my son Scott how to run these events. He will be handling the money and expenses through his LARP business account.) If not doing full campout talk w/ me about cost.  – Combine into one check or cash.

• $100 per family fee.
• $60/ person food

Volunteer Buyout: $100 CASH ONLY (used to pay Tam’s assistants)

Overnight Parking: CASH ONLY $18 for Sunday/Mon/Tues night ($6/night). Don’t pay if not spending the night. We collect it and the ranger pick it up on Tuesday.

But we’re in the Wurr Group Campgrounds  — just east of the main park entrance down Wurr Rd. Several ways to get here. Avoid any route that tells you to go Old LaHonda Rd — 9 miles of one lane, tight curves!

 

If you don’t like windy roads consider coming from Hwy 1 — it’s much straighter.

From Hwy 1:

• Pescadero Rd.
• Go Past Memorial Park entrance.
• R on Wurr Rd. Look for big sign saying “Redwood Glen / Wright Drive”
• When rd. “v”‘s stay to the right.
• first gate on the right.
• From Palo Alto side:
  • Before get to Memorial Park Entrance
  • L on Wurr Rd. Look for big sign saying “Redwood Glen / Wright Drive”

Sleeping bags, tent, pillows. Many kids sleep outside. We’ll bring big tarp.
