DESCRIPTION:Note- this is the camp for players who are new and experienced players as well.  It is the only camp I offer this summer that trains new players\, so if your child is new\, you need to sign up for this camp if you want to attend other camps. \nFanwar Camps \n(Palo Alto – SUMMER 2020) \nSummer Hours 9am- 5:00pm! \nInformation \nNew Safety Procedures and Requirements here. \nRegistration:  All families must pre-register for this event. There are a limited number of spaces available. Registration and payment are required to save your spot. To register fill out registration form and e-mail to christophermelville@fanwar.com or turn in to Christopher Melville at a Fanwar event. Payment may be given to Christopher at a Fanwar event\, sent via PayPal at the above email address\, or sent in the mail (PO BOX 149\, Graton CA 95444).  Make checks payable to Christopher Melville or Fanwar LARP and please write your child’s name on the check as well. \nReminder: We are a group of families that get together to hire a gamemaster. At most events\, adults are required to remain on site. HOWEVER: because this event is all week and is a succession of weekdays\, this requirement is being waived for this event only\, provided you have emergency contacts on file with the organizer and your child does not pose a significant risk to the flow\, safety\, or management of the event.  All children who do not have adults on hand to chaperon them must demonstrate that they are responsible and cooperative and cannot leave the premises for the duration of the camp hours without written parent permission. \nCost: The week costs $325 per person.  There is no extra charge for the materials and items that students make and get to keep. \nLocation: The day camp is being held at Helios School in Sunnyvale CA.  We will be using the back gate on Kenny Ct for drop off and pick up. \nWhat to bring: Students need to bring a lunch\, clothing for variation in the summer weather\, as well as adequate sun protection and good athletic shoes.  Costumes and props are also a wonderful addition to our events. \nFood: As mentioned above\, lunch is not provided and students must bring their own lunches for this event each day. \nSchedule: We begin setup around 8:30am\, and start game promptly at 9am every day and play until 12pm.  We take an hour lunch break from 12-1pm and a role play only town setting from 1-2pm.  We run a second session from 2pm-4:30pm and wrap up by 5pm.  The morning is mostly active battles\, skills building\, and adventures.  The afternoon is split between smaller battles. \nOne form per family – note- if you have already submitted this information for another camp and no contact info has changed\, you only need to fill out the childs name\, indicate which camps your child plans to attend\, send payment\, and sign the back of this form. \n  \nNOTE: The Format for Events has changed.  Only ONE camp allows new players to join who have never played before.  This camp is the June 22nd-26th Camp.  All other camps are for players who know the game already. \nDates: \n\nJune (8th-12th) No new players allowed at this event.
