SUMMARY:GM Class Intro (ongoing) BRIONES PARK
DESCRIPTION:This is the introduction to the GM class which trains experience players to work as volunteers at events\, take on more challenging NPC and monsters\, design their own worlds\, classes\, and take on more responsibility in the game. \nInvolvement in this class requires active field work\, volunteering at birthday parties\, character leagues\, in any and all leagues.  Practicing as a helper for various GM’s and testing your skills as a Sub GM is part of the way players pay for this class\, and keeps the cost reasonable.  If you cannot volunteer at events\, make other arrangements to craft\, clean\, or otherwise help out in the ways that you can. \nThis class also happens in conjunction with the three LARP Training Camps to be held this summer in Palo Alto.  Participants should plan to attend as helpers as many of these events as they can.  The first day of each event is most critical and will include a planning and roles meeting from 5pm-6pm. \nThis class has two big field trips which involve researching historical locations and activities to bring more richness and realism to our gaming.  The cost of this class includes involvement in the field trips which are all day events.  One will be in August and another in October. \nThis class is not open to all players\, and players who wish to enroll must demonstrate an a facility with the rules\, assignments\, and good behavior during events to set a good example. \n

Quest League is for both new and experienced players who enjoy a balance of play and plot.  There are two 3 hour sessions in the day: \n10am-1pm:  This session is mostly battles concluding with the In Town Encounter of the day.  If you have never played Fanwar before this is the session for you.  If you enjoyed the morning session\, feel free to sign up for the afternoon. \n2pm-5pm:  This is where the plot thickens!  In the second session help the group choose the missions in which to embark upon.  Work as a team to defeat the enemy\, decode the riddle\, or solve the mystery that awaits you in the northern region of Welandes in the Teriock Game world.
