SUMMARY:Falnorian Adult Timejump Day
DESCRIPTION:Due to the timeframe of season finales and the beginning of the next season\, Falnorian Adult’s timejump and rules day has been scheduled between events. This day will be spent discussing and revising the rulebook and game procedures and working through timejump information. Attendees are advised to bring their own weapons so that we can playtest changes if needed (the trailer will be unavailable). There is no charge for this event (although donations in the form of snacks for everyone to share is encouraged). \nMorning (10AM-1PM): The morning will be spent on discussion exclusively. We will meet at the Palo Alto Cafe and discuss procedures and gameplay for the next year\, and update and edit the rulebook. We’ll break for lunch from 1PM-2PM and then reconvene at a nearby park. \nAfternoon (2PM-5PM): Once at the park (likely Hoover Park\, just a few blocks from the cafe) we’ll playtest any changes that we need to try out\, and then run any timejump battles that need doing. If there is time left over\, we may go over location information and make new characters for the new year.

SUMMARY:Falnorian Adult League Campout
DESCRIPTION:Campout for Falnorian Adult League players. Cost includes both play and campsite fees; the campsites are already reserved\, so there’s no need to reserve others! Specifics about campsites will be given to registered players (must register in advance – no showing up unregistered. Email Kim to reserve your space in advance – we have space for a max of 24 people). Food is not done communally\, players must bring their own food and camping gear. \nMinors may be dropped off by their parents but must have an adult responsible for them at the campsite (this may be another player) and a written note from their parent expressing permission for the player to be there. \nSchedule below: \n–Sunday\, July 17th:–\nWe have the campsite from 2PM onwards. Players are welcome to show up the night before\, set up their gear\, and hang out. No official missions will be done but there may be some campfire roleplay etc. \n–Monday\, July 18th:–\nMorning Set: 10AM-1PM\nLunch Break: 1PM-3PM\nAfternoon Set: 3PM-6PM\nDinner Break: 6PM-8PM\nNight Missions: 8PM-10PM \n–Tuesday\, July 19th:–\nMorning Set: 10AM-1PM\nLunch Break: 1PM-3PM\nAfternoon Set: 3PM-6PM\nDinner Break: 6PM-8PM\nNight Missions: 8PM-10PM \n–Wednesday\, July 20th:–\nWe must be out of the campsite at noon. SUMMARY:Falnorian Junior League Day Camp
DESCRIPTION:This is a day camp event taking place in the Falnorian game world; it is for players ages 7-13. Because it is a weekday event\, parents may drop their children off. There are a limited number of spaces; in order to save your child(ren)’s spot in this camp\, email me to sign up and I will then send you the appropriate forms to be turned in on the first day of the camp. \nGenerally speaking\, the morning set of the camp will be focused on battle training and learning the rules of the game; the afternoon set of the camp will be geared towards characters and storyline. As the week goes on and players become more comfortable with the rules\, we will do more character league type play in the morning as well.

DESCRIPTION:This event is being added to our usual Wednesday morning sessions now that they have shifted to the evenings with the spring.  Christopher can only run two sessions (the two afternoon sessions) and so he has asked the GM Team to run the morning session for those kids who cannot make other times or for whom the morning is more convenient. \nLive Action Role Playing is a tremendous teaching tool and capable of dynamic\, physically driven learning that transcends the usual boundaries of standard education. Due to the interactive\, dramatic\, hands on methods used in LARP\, teaching is often effortless and fun. Players explore concepts from history\, linguistics\, political studies\, geography\, psychology\, literature\, mythology\, engineering\, science\, mathematics\, fine arts\, team building\, and much\, much more in a single session and often don’t even realize they are learning due to the fact that they are the active participant in the process\, not the passive receiver.\nThis event is being added to continue to winter schedule of morning larp for home schoolers.  There will still be two sessions run by Christopher in the afternoon\, but in order to meet the needs of those who cannot stay late\, or can only do the morning\, this event has been added to the front of the day.  In this session players make and role play as characters in a shared imaginary world that spans the Bay Area and has hundreds of players continuously involved in collaborating on the process of storytelling and adventure. These events also tie into the weekend events and other leagues which have been a tradition in the area for the past ten years. Players must learn to battle with safe larp weaponry\, solve intricate story elements\, role play as a wide variety of monsters and creatures of the world\, and manage their resources carefully.
