Palo Alto Summer Camp #3 (Experienced Players Only)
July 20 @ 8:00 am - July 24 @ 5:00 pm$325.00
(Palo Alto – SUMMER 2020)
Summer Hours 9am- 5:00pm!
Registration: All families must pre-register for this event. There are a limited number of spaces available. Registration and payment are required to save your spot. To register fill out registration form and e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or turn in to Christopher Melville at a Fanwar event. Payment may be given to Christopher at a Fanwar event, sent via PayPal at the above email address, or sent in the mail (PO BOX 149, Graton CA 95444). Make checks payable to Christopher Melville or Fanwar LARP and please write your child’s name on the check as well.
Reminder: We are a group of families that get together to hire a gamemaster. At most events, adults are required to remain on site. HOWEVER: because this event is all week and is a succession of weekdays, this requirement is being waived for this event only, provided you have emergency contacts on file with the organizer and your child does not pose a significant risk to the flow, safety, or management of the event. All children who do not have adults on hand to chaperon them must demonstrate that they are responsible and cooperative and cannot leave the premises for the duration of the camp hours without written parent permission.
Cost: The week costs $325 per person. There is no extra charge for the materials and items that students make and get to keep.
Location: The day camp is being held at Mitchell Park in Palo Alto CA. We usually meet near the “Push” statue, but may have to relocate depending on what other events are happening in the park that week.
What to bring: Students need to bring a lunch, clothing for variation in the summer weather, as well as adequate sun protection and good athletic shoes. Costumes and props are also a wonderful addition to our events.
Food: As mentioned above, lunch is not provided and students must bring their own lunches for this event each day. If your childs wishs to leave the park for lunch, they will need written permission from you to do so.
Schedule: We begin setup around 8:30am, and start game promptly at 9am every day and play until 12pm. We take an hour lunch break from 12-1pm and a role play only town setting from 1-2pm. We run a second session from 2pm-4:30pm and wrap up by 5pm. The morning is mostly active battles, skills building, and adventures. The afternoon is split between smaller battles and crafting sessions to make LARP items the students get to keep. (If you need early drop off or late pickup- contact me).
One form per family – note- if you have already submitted this information for another camp and no contact info has changed, you only need to fill out the childs name, indicate which camps your child plans to attend, send payment, and sign the back of this form.
