ratboy
[11 May : 14:15]
What does the Ext festival mean? An on a side note do trade crafts like courtesan stack with poet for the propose of peoples reaction?

Is it too late to enter a poem? (got blocked for a bit).
Here is my poem(if it is not to late).

The one who comes to do harm
Feels the most pain
The one who does nothing
Feels the most guilt
The one who's motive is revenge
Feels no satisfaction.

Are they making a big fuss out of "vampire!!!" or has that mostly passed now that Curves is out of the picture?

The judges confir and have reached a decision. First- anyone who submitted a poem gets 1 lvl in poetry added to their character. Second, each then receives double their lvl in poetry in gold OR 8 gold whichever is more. Many of the poems seem to have stirred up a lively debate. There is an excitement and joy in the people in the square and they ask you to present your poems again at the. Ext festival. The poems about unity and flowers are especially well received. Stone is taken in for questioning... But other than that, it is a joyous event.
The following poems win further praise
Linders poem
Kira's Poem
Iryas poem
You may choose from the following-
Gain honor- and present your poem to the high council
Cash prize of 200 gold
A magical boon from the Sorikonians

If it isn't too late your local crazy satyr would like to enter the following poem.
He has no levels in poet but has 90 in rustic music and will be preforming this in a very rustic musicy way.

In the hopes that it can still be entered:

Poem by Lindor (no levels in poet). asking a question

Where do the dead heroes go
When the riddle writer's written
And the song sung so
When the last dragon dies
And the last priest cries
To the god who left him empty
And faithless on the side

Where do our loved heroes go
When this withered world whispers
What the dead men know
And we all lie broken
On an ash grey scene
Where our time is ended
But where there's no new seed

Where do all our whispen heroes go
When all is done
And life has stopped its flow
When twilight has fallen
The dark and the light
When the sightless ether has ended its might

Where do the dead heroes go?

Dracon
[09 May : 19:27]
I think this is where i am supposed to send in my poem.
And I hope it's not too late. It's from my vampire character Dracon.

"How thick is Blood?"

Roses are bloody red.
Violets are veiny blue.
I know what your thinking
But I might not kill you.
I had to leave the battle I oh so loved.
All because of my incredible lust for blood.
I see mankind as a snack with a sword.
Some day soon you will call me your lord.
I've been chased out of town with silver crosses and stakes.
I have yet to know how you got silver rakes.
I suppose it's my pale skin that gave you the hunch.
That you had the right to kick me out for eating my lunch.
My skin may be pale and my hair may be rad.
But does that really make me so bad?

akpaley
[09 May : 16:11]
Note. Karen's poem and mine are both "answer a question" poems.

Terisio
[09 May : 13:51]
Chris, if it is not to late to say so Mong is going to dance while he is giving the poem (if that would fit the setting). It is an interpretive dance of his poem with the chess piece and time metaphors. He has Dancer level 16.

Posting from a school computer.
Amara and Iraya each have a level in aurator which can translate into poet.

On the hope that it is not too late...

Poem #1, by Kira (no levels in poet). Asks a question.

Lead your children hand in hand
Dancing through the day
Lead them to another land
Help them find their ways
Through words and weapons wielded well
Where flowers one will find;
Or else where war-wrenched denizes dwell
And all its stricken kind;
Which future did you find to be
Laid at your younger feet -
And what future do you mean to leave
For youth to make and meet?

---

Poem #2, by Aurora Nightsong (also no levels in poet). Answers a question.

Children ask storms' pause
Not knowing that the rainclouds
Are only themselves.

Aaaaaaand posting on behalf of Karen, who is *also* currently blocked by the FanWar site. xD By Iraya, who has no levels in poet.

All flowers have beauty in their own way
Whether elegant, dainty, or bright
So each deserves to say what it will say
Each deserves to stay in sight

But roses and orchids will still tower over
From the high ground in which they were set
Dwarfing the small daisy and tiny closer
Drawing all eyes to themselves, and yet --

Yet the clover will still more easily please
The most important figures they meet
They quickly impress the butterflies and bees
Because their nectar is still just as sweet.

Taurewen
[09 May : 01:39]
By the way - poem "The Order" is asking an answer.

Taurewen
[09 May : 01:38]
(Do I get any levels in messenger for this? xD)
(No that is not a serious question)

Taurewen
[09 May : 01:37]
Posting this one on behalf of Allison, who is *also* blocked from the FanWar site. It's written by Amara, who has no levels in poet.

Title: The Order

A flower 'neath the cherry tree
One for you and one for me
One for friendship, one for luck
Over these flowers a deal was struck

We stand for peace in the face of war
We recreate what came before
And we preseve forevermore
The balance that was once the core

A battle with flowers, not with blades
Fought with speeches, not with raids
With laughter on the battlefield
And the smiles that we openly weild

We reach out to the frozen hearts
And make the flower of feelings start
With flowers 'neath the cherry tree
One for all who wish to see

GameMasterChris

The council kindly denies this second poem by the honorable Mong of the Iron Disciples. Only one poem per person is permissible. You must state one, and only one, for you cannot take back your words, just as you cannot take back your actions in battle. You must choose the best actions and only have one chance to make it.

Taurewen
[09 May : 01:21]
And another on behalf of Nick; for Mong again (lvl 16 poet).

There once was a boy, lost in the wing
Taken in by rough hands not of kin
This little boy knew not of where he came
But in the end, it was all the same.

This place of my heart
This place of my dream
This past of pain
This past that is slain

Who is that person that you see staring back from a mirror?
Who is that person that takes you aback?
Who is that person who inspires such terror?
Who is that person that feels like a slap?
Who is that person hunting you down?
Who is that person helping you drown?

Taurewen
[09 May : 01:18]
Another on behalf of Scott; this time for a character named Taka, who has no levels in poet.

Will you remember the wind, a touch of air?
Will you remember the earth, and the lives of those there?
Will you remember the sky, a plane of blue?
Will you remember the rainbow, possessing infinite hues?
Will you remember the souls, bringing life over strife?
Will you remember the memories, reminders of life?

Taurewen
[09 May : 01:14]
And posting this one on behalf of Nick, who is also currently blocked. It's by Mong (lvl 16 poet), and it asks a question.

Time is called many things
A river, a lake, a wheel, or wings
Yet it travels ever onward
After we're dead and gone
So which of us are the pawns?
Who are the bishops and who are the knights?
Who are the castles surrounded by lights?
The queen is there too, though may not be seen
The signs of her passage only felt where she's been
Now the last question, most important of all
Who is the king, and when will he fall?

Taurewen
[09 May : 00:58]
I'm posting this on behalf of Scott, who is currently blocked from FanWar. It's written by his character Masamato (lvl 54 poet). The poem asks a question.

Imagine a tree, young and green
Tended by a spring, their potential unseen
Now the tree is older, and putting out some limbs
And though the spring is greater its devotion never dims
And as each limb blossoms, the flowers falling to the ground
The water moves ever on, never making a single sound
Then a new tree comes, growing from the old
Yet this one has no water, growing lifeless and cold
This land has been transformed into dust, that which once was green
The water devoured by the trees, the spring an ancient dream.

What's D?

Battlebones
[05 May : 18:57]
is this D

Terisio
[04 May : 15:05]
I dunno... it was happening late at night and the only other witnesses were Iron Disciples, so I'm not sure if it would be common knowledge. I do know however that Mong, for one, will not be going around and talking about it.

ratboy
[04 May : 13:05]
Probably, it wasn't particularly discreet

Taurewen
[03 May : 18:50]
Is what happened during the RP common knowledge?

Taurewen
[03 May : 18:50]
This IS Sorikonia. Warded stuff is not that uncommon here. Example: Sashi Saber. So I'd at least guess that it whatever it was was probably warded, yes. (Or else it's some other supergross thing that we don't know about. There's always that option too.)

Tyr
[03 May : 17:25]
How did they take you down mister pacifist? Warded?

ratboy
[03 May : 16:37]
No, he had magic resistance

Tyr
[03 May : 16:01]
Why were you not able to heal Nick? Was he dead?

ratboy
[03 May : 14:58]
Well, that could have turned out a lot worse than it did

Taurewen
[02 May : 21:54]
Quinn - nope, you're all fine. "Fine" probably meaning that you got hit with dirty dark, but you all were healable and thus didn't get hit with morganti.

Tyr
[02 May : 21:34]
Did Scott or Nick (or me) get hit with Morganti?

Terisio
[02 May : 20:37]
What happens with the Tomb afterwards? Is there any sense of what the howling was?

GameMasterChris
[02 May : 01:18]
There is no sign of them now- though they never seem to have left the city.

GameMasterChris
[02 May : 01:17]
okay, that's all for tonight- you all wake up later, being healed by Iron Disciples. They tell you you fought well and thank you for the help. The Ninja didn't get into the tomb in the end- they Morgantied the last Iron Disciple, but many more ID were advancin on them, when their fallen Ninja Respawned they all took off and had ID chasing them all over the city into the night.

GameMasterChris
[02 May : 01:13]
[Quin] is wondering if they got hit with Morganti too.... he makes an attack on the Ninja and hits, with a couple of slashes which have good effect but then the Iron Disciple next to you crushes the Ninja - you think your okay until you realize one has gotten behind you and a sword is sticking out of your back. You go down... that's all you know

Tyr
[02 May : 01:10]
Coner or Chris you can play me. See you on the weekend.
Good night.

Tyr
[02 May : 01:02]
If the ID took the hit and they do not seem to be focusing on me I will do he first thing i said.

The Warden
[02 May : 00:58]
Nick and Scott are wondering if they got hit by Morganti.
